Jacksonville Jaguars vs Oakland Raiders will take place on Sunday in what is sure to be a fierce Week 7 match up. Both teams are struggling in the NFL this season with just one win each - for one team that struggle will continue today, but for the other a win could spark a mini-revival and hopefully a brighter mid-period this regular season. Both teams are almost certainly already out of the race for the playoffs, but they will both be desperate to accomplish more in the remainder of the season than they have so far.

The Jaguars will be traveling to Oakland fresh from a bye week, which will have been good to clear their heads. The two weeks prior to their week off they suffered two consecutive heavy defeats with a combined score of 13-68.

Those two defeats for the Jaguars were hugely disheartening, and it was painful to see the players heads go down. The defensive line up was in disarray and Blaine Gabbert was simply terrible. If Jacksonville cannot turn it up a few notches then it would be a long hard season for them - and a different team to the one suffering those humiliating defeats must show itself today.

Meanwhile the Raiders have had their own problems, but for them they are coming into this game on the back of what arguably was their best performance of the year - although they did end up narrowly losing in Atlanta. They will be looking at this game as a chance to build upon last week's performance and especially the fantastic defensive display they put on.

The Raiders will have seen how the Jaguars' offense has been dominated by other sides this year, and they will be hoping their improving defense can continue their rise and control the Jaguars' offensive line up.
