Jay-Z Paranoid About Fatherhood

Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter, the 43-year-old rap mogul and husband to famed singer Beyonce Knowles, recently revealed the fears that the has as a father.

Jay-Z has partnered with Samsung to release the album "Magna Carta Holy Grail" on July 4. In a promotional video for the venture, the rapper talks about his one-year-old daughter Blue Ivy Carter and how she inspired a song on the album.

"[She is] something that we both created. We still marvel at her," Jay-Z said in the Samsung commercial. "It's most obvious in the song called 'Jay-Z Blue' and it deals with you know my pop left when I was young."

In the song "Jay-Z Blue" the rapper gives fans some insight into his adjustment to fatherhood.

"Baby needs Pampers/ Daddy needs at least three weeks in the Hamptons/ Please don't judge me only hugged the block/ I thought my daddy didn't love me/ My baby getting chubby," Jay-Z raps in the song.

In a commercial to promote his upcoming album, the rapper spoke about how his father's absence impacted him as a man.

"So he didn't teach me how to be man nor how to raise a child or treat a woman," Jay-Z said. "So of course, my karma, the two things I need I don't have … and I have a daughter. It's the paranoia of not being a great dad."

Although Jay-Z has become known for his stoic expressions, the rapper has not shied away from admitting how emotional his daughter makes him. Last year, the rapper was admittedly touched when performing a song for his new daughter Blue Ivy during a charity concert at Carnegie Hall in New York City.

"Put a hand in the air for Blue," he told the audience.

After Jay-z performed the song "Glory" that he wrote for his baby Blue Ivy, the rapper admitted that it made him emotional. The charity concert was the first time he performed the song, which alludes to a miscarriage that wife Beyonce had in the past.

"I didn't think I was going to make it through that one," Jay-Z said. "That was tough."
