Jennifer Aniston has ended years of speculation by claiming that she will be married by the end of 2012.
The actress, linked to several men after her divorce from Brad Pitt, told friends, "I'll be married by the end of the year," reported the Daily News. She has been dating fellow actor Justin Theroux since May 2011; the couple recently moved into a home together and starred in "Wanderlust," which opened this weekend.
During a pre-Oscars party on Friday, Aniston told a friend that she and Theroux had gotten much closer since adopting Sophie, a boxer-pitbull.
"We're constantly laughing. Now we've got our new baby, things are getting serious," she said.
Us magazine reported that the couple adopted Sophie from a friend: "We were there for three hours, and I'm telling you, I was almost walking out with three puppies."
"Things are fabulous, I'm happy," Aniston told friends. "If he's not down on one knee or we're not married by the end of the year, it's over!"
She publicly kissed Theroux for the first time last week after receiving her own star on the Walk of Fame.
"It feels very surreal to be honest," she told the crowd during the ceremony. " I was born here and it's sort of something you went and saw as a kid and got excited about just walking and seeing the names. To imagine that you're going to be there is really special. It's fun."
Also at the Walk of Fame ceremony was Aniston's famous father, John, who has starred on "Days of Our Lives" since 1985. Theroux appeared comfortable sitting with Aniston's family and friends at the celebration.
If Aniston does indeed marry Theroux, it will be her second time down the aisle.
She famously married Brad Pitt in 2000, causing a huge media frenzy. The two divorced in 2005 amid allegations of infidelity. Aniston has since been linked to beaus Vince Vaughn and John Mayer before settling down with Theroux.
