Jennifer Aniston has reportedly invited Jane Pitt, the mother of her ex-husband Brad Pitt, to her upcoming wedding to Justin Theroux, according to a report.
The former "Friends" actress, who was allegedly reluctant to invite her own mother to her upcoming nuptials, invited Jane because they reportedly maintained a close relationship despite her 2005 divorce from Brad, according to The Sun U.K.
"Jennifer wants Jane to be there. She's closer to her than she is to her own mother Nancy [Dow] and it just feels right," a source reportedly told The Sun.
"[Jane] wouldn't miss Jen's wedding for anything! Jane is thrilled that Jennifer has found happiness again," the source went on.
Aniston, 43, was married to Pitt, 48, for five years and she has reportedly always gotten along well with Jane, which is quite a contrast to his current wife, Angelina Jolie, 36.
Jolie, who has conflicting political views to Jane, was reportedly left furious after Jane wrote a politically motivated letter to her local newspaper criticizing President Barack Obama's leadership and urging the public to instead vote for Republican Presidential hopeful Mitt Romney in November. Jolie has openly supported President Barack Obama since he first ran for office, according to Star magazine.
"She has told Brad he must educate his mother but Brad is too much of a mama's boy," a source reportedly told Star.
"If Brad won't do it, Angelina will have to take matters into her own hands and talk to Jane about how, as the mother of such a prominent celebrity, she shouldn't be writing letters that clash with her son's political opinions," the source added.
Pitt, who critics suspect may have cheated on Aniston with Jolie during their 5-year marriage, is unlikely to get an invitation to Aniston and Theroux's wedding.
One person who Aniston did choose to invite is her estranged mother Nancy Dow. Theroux, 41, reportedly convinced Aniston to invite Dow to their upcoming wedding ceremony after she refused to invite her to her and Pitt's 2000 nuptials.
"Nancy and Jennifer have had their ups and downs, but they're going to let bygones be bygones and she will be invited to her daughter's wedding ceremony," a family insider reportedly told RadarOnline.com.
"She was told of the invitation by her son, John, which she was obviously delighted with. Sadly, the initial fallout between Nancy and Jennifer in 1999 meant that she wasn't on the guest list for the 2000 wedding to Brad Pitt -- something that always haunted her," the source went on.
