Jennifer Garner News: Actress Celebrates 44th Birthday with Lots of Balloons and Marching Band

Jennifer turned a year wiser last April 17, and, according to reports, the celebration was filled with lots of fun, laughter, and love.

As Garner has reconnected with her Christian faith, Us Weekly reported that the just turned 44 –year-old actress started her birthday celebration with a church service with her kids--- Violet, 10, Seraphina, seven, and Samuel, four---in tow.

"My parents did such a great job of raising my sisters and me in a world where faith was part of our lives," she said. "We went to church every single week. We were not ever guilted; we were not, nobody talked about hell in our house. It wasn't a dark thing ever, it was only something positive. And our church was and is, you know for my parents and my little sister's family who are still going to the same church in Charleston, West Virginia. It's the center of our social lives, as well as a spiritual center," she told Dr. Oz last month as reported by Us Weekly.

After church, her yet-to-be divorced husband, Ben Affleck, took the kids out to give the celebrator ample time to prepare for her big event happening later that day. According to reports, the actress' fete involved lots of birthday balloons in various shapes and colors and flowers which were used in embellishing the patio of her shared abode with Affleck. The bar was also decorated with her initials, too.

A source has told E! News that having a marching band on her birthday celebration was the personal choice of Garner as it represents a part of her past; the actress used to the play the sax in school when she was still young.

Garner, Affleck, and their three kids are flying to London next month and stay there for a while as Affleck is set to reprise his Batman role for the upcoming "Justice League: Part 1" movie. It has been a practice of the estranged couple to bring their kids on the location of their shoot, taking turns if both of them work in different places.

Despite their announced separation, the couple still lives under the same roof in order to give their kids normal parenting.
