Jeremy Lin Injury Update: Lin to Make His Return Against the Denver Nuggets Next Week

Jeremy Lin has only played in 12 games for the Brooklyn Nets this season because of hamstring injuries, but he's getting ready to return after the All-Star break.

Lin finally went through a full practice earlier this week, and Nets coach Kenny Atkinson said the point guard would play against the Denver Nuggets on Feb. 24. Lin has to get back in shape first before he can log heavy minutes, and he's going to have to work on his conditioning during the All-Star break. Atkinson wasn't sure if there would be any minute restrictions, but they would surely ease him back slowly.

Lin admitted that he didn't play well in practice, but he said he was "competitive." Well, that's good enough for the Nets. The team has been horrible this year and they are currently the worst team in the league.

"I feel for the guys, because they're playing hard, playing the right way, moving the ball, trying to do the right things," Lin said, according to the New York Post. "I'm not going to lie: It wears on everybody. I walk in there and I just feel bad. I'm a little bit upset at myself. I just feel bad for the whole situation, really," he added.

Lin was supposed to form a one-two punch with Brook Lopez, but the center might get traded before the trade deadline. Well, he still hopes they would get the chance to play together when he returns. "I think it would mean a lot because I think I could make his job a lot easier and vice versa," Lin said, according to Newsday.

Atkinson also said he would like to see the two on the court, so hopefully the front office will give them a chance to play together.

It really has been a challenging season for Lin and the Nets, but the team should be a lot better when he's on the court.
