Jessica Simpson's birthday has arrived on Tuesday this year and the superstar is celebrating her 32nd year.

Newly 32 years old, the singer and actress has a lot to celebrate this year. A new mom, Simpson welcomed her first child, daughter Maxwell, just two months ago.

Moreover, the star announced that she would be designing a new bridal fashion line this year. The business endeavor is fitting, since Simpson is engaged to marry NFL player Eric Johnson.

Born July 10, 1980 in Abilene, Texas, Jessica Ann Simpson was the daughter of a youth minister and and homemaker. She grew up in Richardson, Texas when she auditioned for "The Mickey Mouse Club" alongside Justin Timberlake.

At age 16, Simpson signed a record with Tommy Mottola at Columbia Records and went on to release three major albums reaching Gold, Platinum and double Platinum status.

Simpson is best known for her hit songs "I Wanna Love You Forever" and "Irresistible," as well as for her reality television show "Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica" where she starred alongside her ex husband, Nick Lachey.

Additionally, Simpson starred in 2005's "The Dukes of Hazzard" as Daisy Duke, as well as films "A Public Affair" and "Employee of the Month."

Most recently, the singer and actress appeared on VH1's documentary series "The Price of Beauty" and participated as s mentor on NBC's "Fashion Star."

The birthday girl became a trending topic online Tuesday, especially on Twitter where her legions of fans wished her well.

As part of celebrating her birthday, her fashion company, Jessica Simpson Collection, posted a special discount.
