Jessica Simpson and her fiance Eric Johnson are reportedly heading to Hawaii on Dec. 21 and a new report suggests that the couple of two years is planning to walk down the aisle.

Simpson, 32, who is rumored to be pregnant with the couple's second child, along with Johnson, 33, have invited a group of close friends and family to join them on their upcoming trip. The couple recently told their loved ones that they have a formal announcement to make, according to Radar Online.

"For the holidays Jessica and Eric are going to Hawaii and they've invited a lot of their close friends and family," a source close to the Simpson family told Radar. "No one quite knows what is being planned, but family members are speculating that they could be planning a surprise wedding."

Simpson, who gave birth to her first child Maxwell Drew Johnson in May, previously postponed her 2011 nuptials to Johnson due to her unexpected pregnancy although it is now claimed that the couple is keen to wed before the end of 2012. The singer allegedly wants a simple wedding and has allegedly started dropping hints about her big day.

"Jessica and Eric had planned to get married before the end of the year, but because Jessica was helping her best pal Cacee [Cobb] with her wedding she got sidetracked. Then, her father's problems shattered her world and she discovered she was expecting," the source said.

"She just wants a relaxed and intimate ceremony and has been dropping hints that the big day could be right before Christmas," the source added.

While it was previously claimed that Simpson postponed her initial wedding because she refused to be a pregnant bride, the source claims that the Weight Watchers ambassador is now unfazed about her appearance and is comfortable with having a baby bump on her big day.

"Jessica is certain though that she wants to get married before her baby is born, and isn't bothered if she's showing in any wedding pictures," the source said.
