'Jesus 2015' Shows What the Return of Jesus Would Be Like in Today's World

A new web series called "Jesus 2015" will focus on the Second Coming of Jesus in today's modern society, and is looking to raise funds via fund raising site, IndieGogo.com.

The campaign is run by Gold Soul Entertainment and launches today, and will run until Sept. 30.

"'Jesus 2015' will explore the wealth of possibilities around the Second Coming, with significant ties to historical artifacts like the Shroud of Turin, the best known relic of Jesus and the crucifixion," a press release states.

The web series will follow the character of Chris Doe, who is a 33-year-old man that has a 99.9 percent match with the blood found on the Shroud of Turin. The man is taken into custody for questioning and sought after by religious leaders and groups for further investigation. The man then disappears, and officials are no longer able to locate him.

"This new series will pose the question: is this indeed the Second Coming, and if so, why now?" the press release states.

The web series is not the only Christian end times project coming out. "Final: The Rapture" is a movie that will be debuting in September.

The movie will focus on the days and events following the Rapture and follow four different stories taking place over the world.

"I wanted to make a very clinical, realistic film on the coming Rapture," said director Tim Chey. "There's no cartoon anti-Christ, cartoon anything. It's a very sobering look at what will happen in the next great event of mankind: Christ returning for his church."

The film was made to scare non-believers into asking questions and believers to evangelize.

"It's most definitely not for children under 13," the director said. "There's no profanity, sex, or anything like that. But I made this film to scare the living daylights out of adult non-believers."

The movie will feature Christian entertainer and evangelist, Carman.

"Carman is an incredible actor and person," said Chey in a statement. "He did the role amazingly well. We're all praying mightily for him. He's a wonderful friend and has a great love for Christ."

Carman plays a passenger named Frankie who has the last ticket out of America.
