Joey Feek Update: Singer Is Planting Seeds, Preparing For Spring She May Not See, According To Husband

Last Thursday, Rory Feek, husband of country singer Joey Feek, took to his blog to share to the rest of the world an update about his wife, who is battling cervical cancer. According to his blog "This Life I Live," Rory says that Joey is preparing for what he calls her "favorite season," spring. Healthwise, he also said that his wife is "thin and gaunt" but is occupying her time looking for seeds to plant and sow.

The blog post also featured several photos with Joey holding a container of empty eggshells, which they had converted into small planters for the seeds. What was indeed notable was Joey's thin frame and arms. In the blog post, however, Rory dwelled on how his wife busies herself preparing for the coming of spring. He mentioned that because Joey wants to plant food that will be able to feed her family, she has always been passionate about this. Even before cancer hit her, she was already pushing for raising food for her family.

According to the post, now she is no longer just thinking about her family but also her extended family. Rory wrote: "She wants to plant more… enough for her sisters to take home and start plants of their own in their gardens." As she is preparing the seeds and the seedlings, Rory also mentioned in the post that he is beginning to take notes about how to take care of the garden, which he may eventually do so by himself.

Another report in International Business Times also said that the singer is also spending as much time as possible with her family, especially with her young daughter Indiana. According to the report, the little girl has been playing with her mom even while Joey was confined in the hospital.

Joey and Rory Feek make up the American country and bluegrass duo called Joey + Rory. Joey was diagnosed with cervical cancer in June 2014 after she gave birth to their daughter, Indiana.
