Johnny Depp and the mother of his children Vanessa Paradis reportedly were spotted holding hands when they got together with their two children for a family vacation in south France recently.

The "Pirates of the Caribbean" star and his ex-girlfriend of 14-years Paradis spent an apparently happy time at their home in France with their daughter Lily-Rose Melody Depp, 13, and son John "Jack" Christopher Depp III, 9, on July 18.

A source in South France told US Weekly that the former couple at the family get-together were "joking around" and "at one point, Johnny held Vanessa's hand" when they were at the Plan de la Tour market near their home in Provence.

The former star couple had officially announced that they had split after 14 years together on June 19. In the statement released to Entertainment Tonight, the couple said they had "amicably separated" and "Please respect their privacy and, more importantly, the privacy of their children." After the couple split, they lived separately in Los Angeles, but had not been seen on the red carpet together for about a year.

Depp, 49, and Paradis, 39, began their relationship in 1998 when Depp saw the French actress at the bar in the Costes Hotel in Paris. Depp is rumored to now be dating his "The Rum Diary" co-star Amber Heard.
