Jordan 7 'Sweater' Release Date: New Kicks Already Out

Nike has just released one of the most anticipated pairs in the Air Jordan 7 set for 2015: the Air Jordan 7 "Sweater."

According to Sneaker Bar Detroit earlier this year, the new release is part of this year's Jordan Brand 2015 Holiday Retro Lineup and is inspired by the great NBA star Michael Jordan's retro outfit in a McDonald's commercial.

The said commercial, which aired in 1992, became one of the most epic in the McDonald's franchise as it featured not only Jordan but Larry Bird.

Just like the black, red, and blue retro suit Jordan wore during the commercial and in an appearance in Barcelona, the new kicks feature concord accents that aren't short of the fun and excitement every fan has each time a new Jordan shoe comes out.

Several outlets suggest that the pair would be good not only for the fun-loving aspiring basketball players but for the non-NBA dreamers who just want to party and enjoy strolling around town with an eye-catching pair of shoes.

The "Sweater" comes with the celebration of the Air Jordan 7's 23rd anniversary, and just as every Jordan lover already knows, the franchise has had some spectacular ways of celebrating anniversaries and special occasions in the greatest NBA player's life.

Meanwhile, Kicks on Fire says many fans were disappointed with the new release. It doesn't come as a surprise that some fans expressed disappointment over Air Jordans since some of the previously released pairs still remain untouched in shelves, ready to be replaced by new kicks from other franchises.

The outlet also notes that the "lack of creativity" has become one of the main issues that kept consumers from purchasing this year's series, not to mention the price hike that came with the set.

However, loyal Jordan fans seem to stick by their idol's brand and are patronizing the new release that comes at $190.
