Josiah Duggar Takes Girlfriend Marjorie Jackson Out on a Date

Josiah Duggar could be the next Duggar to walk the aisle. Last month, the 18-year-old introduced his girlfriend, Marjorie Jackson in an on-camera courting announcement for an episode of "19 Kids and Counting." Recently, Josiah took to Instagram to share a photo of him and his girlfriend on a date, with some members of his family acting as chaperones.

The photo was captioned, "Had fun with Marjorie and my family at Cracker Barrel!" It seems like the young couple now has their fair share of fans, as one commented, "I'm ready for another Duggar wedding." Another follower wrote, "She is beautiful! Y'all make a great couple."

In the pair's courting announcement video, the teens shared how excited they are to be starting their relationship as Josiah said, "Marjorie and I just recently started a courtship relationship."

Marjorie then explained what courtship is, saying. "It's getting to know each other better in group settings along with our families and just really asking those tough questions."

Big brother Josh took over, sitting down with Josiah to ask him his thoughts about courtship.

"Purposeful dating," was Josiah's answer.

Josiah confirmed to People Magazine that sparks flew with the 17-yearold during a mission trip to El Salvador in December 2014.

"It's been going very well," Josiah told the magazine. "I met Marjorie a few years ago when I was taking Spanish lessons at her house and I was very impressed with the way she was with her siblings and her love for the Lord."

In El Salvador, Josiah said that Marjorie "really caught my eye."

During the courtship stage, every date the Duggars go on are chaperoned by parents or siblings, and side hugs are the only permitted form of physical contact. Couples also wait until engagement to hold hands, and the first kiss takes place at the wedding.
