Singer Julio Iglesias Jr. tied the knot with Belgian supermodel Charisse Verhaert over the weekend.

The 39-year-old musician began dating Verhaert, 30, eight years earlier. The couple announced their engagement in May 2011.

Native to Madrid, Iglesias is the son of legendary Spanish singer Julio Iglesias and the older brother to superstar Enrique Iglesias. The brothers also have an older sister, Chabeli Iglesias.

The weekend's wedding ceremony took place in Aldea del Fresno, Spain and the bride wore a classic style by designer Manuel Mota for Pronovias, according to Latino Fox News.

Although Enrique could not attend the wedding due to scheduling conflicts, the bride and groom chose Ana Boyer and Iglesias' half-sister, Tamara Falco, as bridesmaids.

Iglesias Jr.'s famous father attended the ceremony, as did his mother, socialite and former journalist Isabel Preysler, though the parents split in 1979.

A model, television personality, and singer, Iglesias Jr. has appeared on the Travel Channel and on NBC's "Out of the Blue." In 2008, the singer was declared the winner of CMT's competition "Gone Country." He has also served in ad campaigns for Versace.

Meanwhile, his younger brother Enrique is among the best-selling Spanish language singers of all time. The 37-year-old "Balimos" singer has been dubbed "The King of Latin Pop" and "The King of Dance."

While it was rumored that Iglesias married tennis player Anna Kournikova in 2001, it was later confirmed that although they have been together for over eight years, they have no plans to wed in the near future.

In addition to his prolific career in music, Iglesias has also tried his hand at acting. The singer has appeared in television series such as "Two and a Half Men" and "How I Met Your Mother," and on the big screen in the film "Once Upon a Time in Mexico" alongside Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek.
