'Jurassic World 2' To Have Bigger & Genetically Hybrid Dinosaurs

"Jurassic World 2" is coming out in June 2018 with bigger and more fearsome dinosaurs, possibly genetically hybrid ones. Jurassic World is going to be extended into a trilogy. Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard are already signed on for the second installment.

That the second part to the hugely successful "Jurassic World" that fetched $1.6 billion worldwide would feature a different kind of dinosaur is anybody's guess. In 'Jurassic World' towards the end, Henry Wu escapes from the island carrying with him the technology to breed different kinds of dinosaurs.

There was a dialogue that Dr. Henry Wu, played by B D Wong, says that was chopped off from the movie ending. He says, "We're not always going to be the only ones who can make a dinosaur." This would mean either he will sell the dinosaur breeding technology to some biggie like InGen or will try to make some dinosaurs himself. This would seem apt as a storyline for Jurassic World 2.

Colin Trevorrow has hinted that now that the theme park is totally destroyed and the dinosaurs gone, the sequel could focus on the dinosaurs in the open world. This gives a lot of leeway for the writers to create plots.

Speaking to Wired, Trevorrow said that "Jurassic World 2" will not get into dinosaurs chasing people out of islands or theme parks. It will be more like dinosaurs let loose on humanity. He is more open to the idea of dinosaurs being genetically tested and creating dinosaurs for corporations and governments.

Trevorrow said that "When you look back at nuclear power, and how that started, the first instinct was to weaponize it, and later on we found it could be used for energy. And this isn't something necessarily that was in the book but is a seed that I wanted to plant in this movie. what if this went open source? It's almost like InGen is Mac, but what if PC gets their hand on it? What if there are 15 different entities around the world who can make a dinosaur?"

We leave you to ponder on this scary thought. Stay tuned as we will keep you updated on the dinosaurs of "Jurassic World 2."
