An ex-boyfriend of Mariah Yeater said her paternity claim against pop superstar Justin Bieber is ridiculous and labeled the suit a "scam."

John Terranova, 19, said Yeater also claimed he was the father of her child.

"She came back here from California telling me she was pregnant with my child and I said this is impossible, you've been in California two months and back here for only a week," said the Las Vegas resident to the New York Post.

Terranova said he dated Yeater for almost four years after meeting her at their Las Vegas high school. He also said Bieber is not the father.

"I know it's not Justin Bieber," Terranova said. "She just wants money. It's a scam."

Lacy Jensen, Terranova's current girlfriend also backed his claims.

"She's a gold digger and just wants someone to take care of her...she was a really big party animal who got around a lot," said Jensen.

Bieber addressed the paternity suit on the "Today” show last week.

"It's crazy that some people want to make up some false allegations, but to set the record straight, none of it is true. Never met the woman,” said Bieber on the show.

Nevertheless, reports surfaced Monday that Bieber will take a paternity test when he returns from an overseas trip in a couple of weeks. Bieber's lawyers have said they plan to sue Yeater after the test is completed.

Yeater, 20, said her now 4-month old son was conceived when her and Bieber allegedly had sex backstage after his concert at the Staples Center in Los Angeles in October 2010.

She is demanding child support from the 17-year-old pop star. Bieber was 16 at the time of the alleged conception, which could leave her open to statutory rape charges.

Bieber is a devout Christian who has spoken against casual sex to the media in the past.
