Justin Bieber is introducing the world to a new grumpy cat. This one, named Tuts, just so happens to belong to the star.
It appears that Justin Bieber is a bit of an animal lover. For his birthday this year he received a pet monkey. The monkey managed his way into a few pictures with the celebrity before being confiscated at the end of March by German officials after Bieber failed to produce the right papers.
But it seems that the singer was lonely without a pet and at the end of May, pictures of an orange-colored Persian cat began to surface on Bieber's Twitter account. It was unclear whether or not Bieber had adopted the cat until recently, and now the cat is building a celebrity status of his own.
Named Tuts, the Persian kitten bears a resemblance to the Internet famous "Grumpy Cat." Tuts also has his own Twitter account with nearly 1,300 followers. The cat's Twitter account confirms that "Yes, Justin Bieber is my owner" in the about section although that cat also has "many other great qualities besides."
Tuts is about as fond as showing off pictures on his Twitter account as Kim Kardashian, although he admits that fame comes at a price.
"It's hard to be a famous cat," he suggested on Monday afternoon.
Apparently building followers on Twitter hasn't been hard for this orange feline. The account was opened at the end of May somewhere around the time Bieber adopted the cat.
"7 followers in 5 minutes. i definitely have swag," the cat posted in one of his tweets. He has since posted several other "swag" photos of himself.
But Tuts has a ways to go if he wants to be as popular as Grumpy Cat, who has over 92,000 followers on Twitter.
