Justin Bieber's Wish to Be a 'Young Dad' Coming True?

Justin Bieber, who said he wants to be a young father one year ago, is now fighting to prove that he did not father a child.

Last year, Bieber was working to promote his autobiography First Step 2 Forever: My Story. When speaking with the Associated Press, the then 16-year-old seemingly foreshadowed his fate by speaking about experiencing fatherhood at a young age.

“I want to be a young dad,” Bieber said. “I don't want to be old and not be able to kick around the soccer ball, you know?”

The crooner also addressed issues with being in Hollywood.

“Hollywood is a scary place,” Bieber told AP last year. “There's a lot going on, there's a lot of bad things, but there's also a lot of good things.”

However, Bieber is currently undergoing his first major negative public experience.

Mariah Yeater, 20, has been making media rounds to defend her position in attempting to prove that the 17-year-old pop star conceived a child with her. In an interview with TV News Magazine, Yeater said the singer’s behavior changed before her eyes.

“(He) went from cute and gushy to just...more aggressive,” the Californian accuser said of Bieber.

She outlined personal and intimate details about her experience with the singer after an October 2010 concert at the Staples Center. Yeater also told The Insider that she is not worried about people judging her questionable past and drawing conclusions about whether Bieber is the father of her four-month-old son.

The alleged mother of Bieber’s baby told The Insider she was confident about proving her honesty in court.

"It'll show in court to prove that my allegations are true," Yeater said.

After Bieber agreed to take a DNA test, Yeater’s lawyers seemed equally enthusiastic.
Lance Rogers and Matt Pare, Yeater’s legal team, said they feel good about Bieber announcing he will take the test in two weeks.

"We are encouraged that Justin Bieber will voluntarily take the paternity test. That is the only way to definitively determine who the father is," the lawyers said to TMZ.

A child support hearing for Yeater’s son will take place on Dec. 15.
