Kanye West reportedly designed his fiancee Kim Kardashian's engagement ring himself after a grand proposal Monday.
"Kanye was involved in every single way. He had a vision from the beginning. He looked at a lot of stones and he wanted only the best," a rep for Lorraine Schwartz told E! News. "He and Lorraine emailed back and forth, and stayed up nights discussing how he wanted it to be. He wanted the diamond to look like it was floating on air. Everything was his idea from beginning to end."
West recently revealed that he wants to be able to live in heaven with his fiancee in the future.
"I have never loved any girl other than my mother as much as I love my girlfriend. And I'm so happy to be with her, for us to live this life together. And with our relationship with God to be able to live forever in heaven together, too," West told San Francisco radio station 106 KMEL recently. "And also to raise a family, a strong family…"
The 36-year-old rap mogul revealed that he believed the pair's affinity for stylish clothing made them influential people in popular culture.
"She's been spending her whole check on clothes since she was 16, just like me. And that's the reason why both of us are the most influential…," West told KMEL. "I think me and my girl are extremely influential greatly due to the paparazzi."
West and Kardashian welcomed their daughter North West into the world last June and while the former has been accused of being an opportunist by some in the past, the rapper insists their relationship is deeper than that.
"She gave me everything. She gave me a support system," West told BBC Radio 1 last month. "She's in a powerful enough situation that she could love me without asking for money, which is really hard for me to find."
West decided to get candid about his 33-year-old reality television star girlfriend helping him deal with the loss of his mother on the Kris Jenner show last month. Jenner, the 57-year-old talk show host and mother to Kardashian, welcomed the rapper on the finale of her six week talk show pilot.
After West's mother, Donda West, passed away in 2007 during a cosmetic surgical procedure, he has spoken very little about his grieving process. However, the rapper opened up to Jenner about how her daughter and their new baby girl North West was changing his outlook on things.
"After I lost my mother, there were times I felt like I would put my life at risk," West revealed on Jenner's talk show. "I felt like sometimes I didn't have something to live for, and now I have two really special people to live for, a whole family to live for, a whole world to live for."
