Kanye West Likens North West to British Royalty

Kanye West may believe that his daughter North West is royalty.

West, the 36-year-old rap mogul who is engaged to "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star Kim Kardashian, says the pair's five month old daughter North should be likened to Kate Middleton and Prince William's son Prince George.

"She's in a position of a level of royalty like the prince and the princess out in London," West said of his daughter in a recent interview with New York City radio station Power 105.1's "The Breakfast Club."

Since he is not actual royalty, West has maintained that he is not financially comfortable enough to guarantee the safety of his daughter.

"Me and Kim we on our grind. We had to do what we had to do to get to this point to be able to support our family, but we ain't there yet," he said on "The Breakfast Club." "We ain't financially there to the point to make sure that North is safe at all times, and that's the reason why I'm turning it up right now."

Last summer, rumors surfaced stating West ordered two custom made armored vehicles from Latvia's Dartz Motorz Company, according to the automobile blog Jalopnik. West reportedly ordered the vehicles called the Prombron Iron Diamond, which each cost him $1 million.

The armored vehicles are reportedly "made to withstand attacks from landmines and rocket-propelled grenades," Vibe.com reports.

West reportedly wants to ensure that his family receive the best protection available.

"Kanye is fully aware that his new family is so high-profile they attract the attention of weirdos and psychopaths," a source close to the rapper reportedly told The Daily Star. "He aims to leave nothing to chance."

Kris Jenner, the 58-year-old talk show host and mother to West's fiancee, welcomed the rapper on the finale of her six week talk show pilot. After West's mother, Donda West, passed away in 2007 during a cosmetic surgical procedure, he opened up to Jenner about how her daughter and their new baby girl North West was changing his outlook on things.

"After I lost my mother, there were times I felt like I would put my life at risk," West revealed on Jenner's talk show. "I felt like sometimes I didn't have something to live for, and now I have two really special people to live for, a whole family to live for, a whole world to live for."
