Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are reportedly adjusting to their new lives as parents and a report claims the rapper is not yet changing diapers.
The Hollywood couple, who have been dating for one year, reportedly named their daughter North West following her June 15 birth. The reality TV star is said to be embracing breastfeeding and while West, 36, is said to be attached and in love with his first child, he is yet to change a diaper, according to Us magazine.
"Kim is breastfeeding constantly she loves it [and] Kanye holds the baby all the time," a source told Us, with another adding "[Kanye] doesn't leave North for more than an hour [but] he's not changing diapers."
Kardashian matriarch, Kris Jenner, appeared to confirm the name of her newest grandchild during a Tuesday interview on ABC's "The View."
"I love the name North. I'm pro North, absolutely, the way she explained it to me was that North means highest power," Jenner explained on the show. "And she says North is their highest point together, and I thought that was really sweet."
The name prompted mixed reactions from fans. but family and friends of Kardashian and West, including hip-hop mogul Jay-Z, are reportedly fond of the unique moniker. The famous rapper and father of singer Beyonce's daughter, Blue Ivy, was asked what he thought about the name North West at a silent auction held at his 40/40 Club Monday and he responded by giving thumbs as a sign of his support, according to In Touch magazine.
"What's North of North? Nothing," a source previously explained to TMZ.com about the name of Kardashian and West's baby. The source revealed that the baby's name is ultimately a metaphor for "up."
Meanwhile the reality TV star and the "New Slaves" are said to be doting over the newborn daughter's every move.
"Kim and Kanye constantly stare at her, obsessed with every little thing she does," a source said.
"Kim can't believe how maternal she is on her own," a source said, adding "[breastfeeding] is working for her and she already feels she has bonded with Nori."
