Though the Duchess was noticeably absent during the games, the rest of the royal family was seen enjoying the games. Prince William, Prince Harry, Prince Charles, and the Duchess of Cornwall were all seen at various events of the games over the past few days.

Middleton has allegedly been suffering from hyperemesis gravidum, which is an extreme form of morning sickness. It can be recalled that she went through the same thing when she was pregnant with Prince George over a year ago. Last week, the palace released an official statement about the Duchess' condition that said that she was being treated at home.

Women who are coping with hyperemesis gravidum will find that there are numerous ways to alleviate the symptoms of this condition.

Medication such as anti-nausea medicines or antacids may be prescribed by an OB Gyne and taking these should have no adverse effects on the baby. Staying hydrated is also key to avoid excessive vomiting. Aside from water, pregnant women may also take some ginger tea, which helps to calm an upset stomach and keep queasiness at bay.

Eating small snacks that contain carbohydrates may also help, as well as avoiding spicy foods which may cause heartburn and exacerbate the condition. A diet consisting of bland food such as mashed potatoes, plain pasta or crackers is ideal for women with severe morning sickness.
