Kate Middleton, Prince William Release Individual 'Thank You' Notes to Public

Kate Middleton and Prince William recently began thanking members of the public after being inundated with congratulatory messages from the public.

The Duchess, who is said to be 16 weeks along in her pregnancy, suffered from hyperemesis gravidarum (acute morning sickness) in the early stages of her pregnancy. While some fans sent her "get well soon" messages, others forwarded congratulations to both she and the Duke of Cambridge, who confirmed in December that they are expecting their first child.

St James' Palace recently began sending out 'thank you notes' to those members of the public who wished them well in recent weeks, according to Mail Online.

"The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were touched by your kind words following the wonderful news that they are expecting their first baby," the elegant notes state. "It really was most thoughtful of you and Their Royal Highnesses send their warmest thanks and best wishes."

The couple, who will celebrate their 2-year anniversary in April, opted for non-traditional notes which are styled like postcards as opposed to the standard letter-head templates used by the other Royals. The card features a picture of both Middleton, 31, and Prince William, 30, taken during their 2012 official visit to Singapore.

The Royal couple visited the world famous Botanical Gardens in Singapore where they spent time viewing the Dendrobium Memoria Orchid, which was named after the late Princess Diana. During their visit the couple had a pink and white hybrid orchid named after them. The "Vanda William Catherine" is a free-flowering orchid hybrid which is said to be in honor of their 1-year marriage.

The "Thank you" notes come just one week after scandalous photos of a pregnant Middleton, wearing a 2-piece bikini, were published in several international tabloids.

The Duchess, who sports a bare baby bump in the intrusive photos, is seen strolling on a beach on the private Caribbean island of Mustique with her husband Prince William. The photos were first published in recent days by Italian tabloid magazine CHI, which is renowned for publishing invasive photos of Britain's Royal family.

"We are disappointed that photographs of the Duke and Duchess on a private holiday look likely to be published overseas," a St James' Palace spokesman said in a statement obtained by The Sun UK. "This is a clear breach of the couple's right to privacy."
