On April 9 George joined his parents at Government House in Wellington, New Zealand for a baby playgroup coordinated by the parent support organization Plunket. Professional photographer and Wellington City councilor Simon Woolf captured a photo of the future king of England grinning while resting his head on his mother's shoulder.

"She said it was just lovely and that it was her favorite photo of the tour," Woolf told reporters, adding that he gave the royal couple a black-and-white version of the photo when they left New Zealand.

"There was a bit of a plan for a [staged] family photo," he added. "But it fell to pieces because they allowed George to sleep for an extra half-hour."

Woolf revealed his plans to send framed copies of Middleton's favorite photo to Prince Charles and Queen Elizabeth in England.

Upon wrapping up the royal tour last week the Duchess, 32, was gifted with a dog toy by a young female fan outside the Australian National Portrait Gallery in Canberra. She could not contain her excitement and spoke about missing the black cocker spaniel adopted by her and William in early 2012.

"Oh, thank you so much!" Middleton said, according to The Express.

"Everyone gives me presents for George, but nobody knows how much I'm missing my own dog. This is the first present I've received for my dog and I'm really happy because I do miss him. He'll be really happy to have this to play with," she added.

The royal couple fulfilled a 19-day visit of both nations before boarding a plane and heading at Fairbairn Airbase in Canberra.

"Reluctantly, Catherine, George and I leave Australia tomorrow," William said at Australia's Parliament House on April 24.

"Thank you for the warmth and generosity that has been shown to us during our visit. We go away with wonderful memories, and George goes away with his cuddly wombat, which he has taken to chewing so lovingly," he added. "We greatly look forward to coming back. And when we do return, it will be to marvel again at all that Australia is, and will yet become."
