Kate Upton Prom: Teen Date Replaced With New Model, Nina Adgal (PHOTO, VIDEO)

Jake Davidson became a YouTube star overnight after he created a video asking Kate Upton to prom. But not even mass media attention could win him a date with the Sports Illustrated model. Fortunately for him, one model's loss is another model's gain.

Just after being turned down by Kate Upton due to a "busy schedule," Davidson was approached by Nina Adgal, 21. While Adgal wasn't exactly the cover model in last year's Sports Illustrated, she did win Rookie of the Year - and she had never been to prom before.

"Jake was waiting to hear from Kate and when Nina heard about it, she said 'If Kate can't go, I'd like to go' because she never got to go to her prom," the teen's mom, Cheryl Davidson, said in an interview with the Daily News.

With over 2 million views on YouTube and a Facebook account dedicated to his cause, Jake Davidson went somewhat silent after Kate Upton's rejection to his prom proposal.

"[I] just don't know if I can make it work. But I really appreciated being asked- it made me feel really great!" Upton told People of her rejection. "This video was creative and funny. It made me laugh."

While admitting that he was "sad" not to have Upton, Davidson was "ecstatic" to hear back from Adgal. A likely hopeful for the cover of the 2014 Sports Illustrated Swim Suit edition, Adgal was excited as well.

"I picked out my dress and now I'm ready for prom," she said.

During the dance, which took place on Thursday night, Davidson admitted that he was having a great time.

"This prom has been incredible," he told Daily News. "Nina Agdal is like so down to earth. Really cool, really nice. It was a great day. I really enjoyed it."
