Katherine Jenkins and Dancing With the Stars: 'I'm Having Panic'(VIDEO)

Two couples on "Dancing With the Stars" have set record high scores on the first night of competition. Opera singer Katherine Jenkins, who said she wasn't ready to switch her voice off for her feet, has taken many by surprise.

Donald Driver is already seeing himself in the Mirror Ball trophy after earning a record high score Monday night. However, he may have to share that spotlight with not one but three other contestants.

The Green Bay Packers wide receiver has the attitude of a winner, and his score on Monday night's "Dancing With the Stars" premiers didn't exactly hurt his ego either. Driver and his partner Peta Murgatroyd scored 26 out of 30 points on their first go for the dance competition.

Driver will have to amp up the competition however, as he and his partner only tied for first place with classical singer Katherine Jenkins and "Family Matters" actor Jaleel White earning the same high score.

Before the show aired, Jenkin's admitted that she wasn't used to her feet hold all of the talent.

"I'm having panic," singer Katherine Jenkins tol ABC. "I am a classical singer. I make albums and do sort of classical concerts."

Jenkin's "panic," however, didn't stop her from completing a successful performance that earned the second record score of the night. Despite her success, Jenkins still won't be letting up on the stress.

"I think I'll be just as emotional next week," Jenkins said on the show. "Sorry, Mark, I'm going to be just as stressed."

Her partner, who formerly played Steve Urkel on "Family Matters," seemed less intimidated.

"It's one week at a time," White said. "It means I'm drinking tonight."

Although some of the judges raved about the duos performance, not all were as impressed.

"Katherine's rhythm was good and her connection with Mark was solid but I just don't understand what the judges were all excited about. I thought Katherine and Mark's foxtrot was nice, sweet, and forgettable," Ney Melo, the same judge who predicted that Driver would wind up in the finals, said, giving the Duo a 6 out of 10.
