Katy Perry Dressed as A Man on 'Ellen' Makes Waves

Katy Perry made a special appearance dressed as a man on the "Ellen DeGeneres Show" recently.

The "Part of Me" singer appeared on the talk show host's birthday episode last week donning a man's suit, wig, and mustache and posing as 1970s game show host.

As part of DeGeneres' birthday celebration on Jan. 26, Perry was introduced before taking the stage in the retro suit.

"I just found out that a friend of mine has always dreamed of being a game show host and I'm not going to let that go by without helping make that happen," 55-year-old DeGeneres told her audience.

"Ladies and gentlemen, here is Katy Perry," the host added.

After wishing DeGeneres a happy birthday, Perry explained her cropped wig: "I asked for the Anne Hathaway, obviously."

"I'm actually a second cousin to Bob Barker," the singer joked of the former "The Pride Is Right" host.

During the game show entitled "Grab Ellen's Bust," contestants vied to clasp a homemade crochet imitation of the talk show host's face. After grabbing the bust and answering questions about DeGeneres, the winner earned a free trip to Australia. Audience members also won $250 gift cards at Target.

Meanwhile, Perry has been making headlines with her personal life. The singer has been dating John Mayer for several months and was spotted with him in Washington, D.C. during President Obama's inauguration just days before DeGeneres' birthday episode.

Moreover, Billboard's "Woman of the Year" recently revealed some of her latest "obsessions" while speaking to People magazine.

"I'm really obsessed with getting my steps in now," said Perry of Jawbone's wristband UP that tracks your movement and sleep. "You create a team and everybody's competitive about who gets the best steps in and it also tracks your sleep."

"I've cut out most fast food," added the pop star. "The only thing I stop for now is In-N-Out Burger."
