Katy Perry Suspects John Mayer is Planning a Proposal?

Katy Perry reportedly suspects that her boyfriend, John Mayer, is planning to propose and insiders claim the pop star has not ruled getting married for a second time.

In November Perry, 29, fueled engagement rumors at the MTV European Music Awards (EMAs) after posing on the red carpet with a diamond ring on her wedding finger. A new report claims the "ROAR" singer and Mayer, 36, are not yet engaged however a future proposal is likely.

"Katy is so happy with John. She's been telling all her friends that she thinks he's going to pop the question – and she'll definitely say yes," a source said according to DailyMail UK.

The couple began dating in August 2012 and while they briefly split up in March, they reconciled in July and have been inseparable ever since.

Prior to Mayer, Perry was married to British actor Russell Brand. Mayer was previously linked to various Hollywood stars including actress Jennifer Aniston and fashion mogul Jessica Simpson.

"He's dated a few famous women but he's never felt this way about anyone before. The only thing is, he wants her to calm down a bit," an insider said referring to Perry. "She's really wild and such a party girl at heart, so he's told her to be a bit more responsible."

In August the couple debuted a love song duet "Who You Love" which is about finding true love.

Perry previously spoke candidly about her relationship with the "Paper Doll" singer during an interview with Vogue magazine.

"I was madly in love with him. I still am madly in love with him. All I can say about that relationship is that he's got a beautiful mind," Perry told the July issue of Vogue regarding Mayer.

In July during his Born & Raised Tour in Milwaukee, Mayer gushed about Perry to the crowd. He has previously been linked to actress Jennifer Aniston and singer Jessica Simpson.

"[Katy's] more incredible than I ever thought," Mayer told the crowd according to RadarOnline.com.
