Katy Perry to Call Out Taylor Swift at Super Bowl Performance?

Katy Perry and Taylor Swift's feud shocked fans of both singers as they previously were thought to be friends and were even photographed together on several occasions. But it appears as though that friendship has soured as Swift revealed in an interview with Billboard that one of her songs in her 1989 album is inspired by a feud that she has with another female singer.

"For years, I was never sure if we were friends or not," said Swift to Billboard. "She would come up to me at awards shows and say something and walk away, and I would think, 'Are we friends, or did she just give me the harshest insult of my life?'"

"She did something so horrible, and I was like, 'Oh we're just straight up enemies.' And it wasn't even about a guy! It had to do with business. She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me," the singer said.

Though Swift did not mention any names, the media have deduced that she might have been referring to Perry, based on the incidents that were cited in the interview. Right after the interview was published, Perry took to Twitter to post, "Watch out for the Regina George in sheep's clothing."

Recently, Perry's rumored boyfriend Diplo attacked Swift on Twitter, which prompted Lorde to defend her friend.

For a couple of months, all seemed quiet on the feud, but then new reports claim that Perry is planning to call out Swift on her Superbowl performance on Feb.1.

A source from Hollywood Life claims that Perry "wants to make a statement with her performance and show that she is the biggest female act in the world and she wants to show that to everyone including Taylor, who she has a feud with."

"Katy will be doing something on stage during her performance that will be directed towards Taylor. She is working on it to be a visual or a lyric related jab," said that insider to the website.
