Kelly Rowland Only Inviting Pastor to Wedding With Tim Witherspoon

Kelly Rowland, the 32-year-old singer formerly of the R&B group Destiny's Child and X Factor judge who recently got engaged, is not inviting anyone to her wedding other than her pastor.

Rowland is engaged to her manager Tim Witherspoon who, as Bossip.com has reported, she has dated for years. After flashing the diamond sparkler on social media and in recent pictures, the singer is finally speaking out about her engagement and future wedding plans.

"I think we just really want it to be us and our pastor. That's it," she told People. "I mean, we are the only two that's going to be in the marriage."

She revealed why people should not expect a large and lavish wedding from her anytime soon.

"You have to pay for food for everyone and I'm not down with that," she told People. "Everyone is there just to be nosy and see who I'm wearing, you know. I'm okay."

Rowland first confirmed her engagement on "The Queen Latifah Show" recently.

"He asked me first on Skype … I remember we were both just kinda like, honestly, just staring at each other. And he asked me, and it was just that simple to say yes," Rowland recalled to host Queen Latifah. "I was like, 'I got my best friend to ride through life with.' He really is my best friend."

A diamond expert previously spoke up about his take on Rowland's alleged engagement ring.

"It's a classic style that we keep seeing more and more of these days! Celebrities are really gravitating towards cushion-cut diamonds because it's the best of both worlds, it's a mix of round and square shapes and it's really taking over," celebrity jewelry expert Michael O'Connor told E! News. "The mounting is very classic with diamonds around the main stone and along the shank, too.The sentiment of a halo setting it that you're the center of the giver's universe, which is appropriate for an engagement ring."

Just before it was announced that Rowland was engaged the singer took to her Facebook page to speak about her hopes to find her God-sent man.

"I feel like, it it's suppose to happen, it will happen. God will send me somebody special," Rowland's message written over a picture of herself reads. "Be Patient."
