Kendall Jenner News: 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' Star Bans Older Sister Kim From Fashion Shows

"Keeping Up With the Kardashians" reality TV personality Kendall Jenner said that she didn't want her sister, Kim Kardashian, to attend the fashion shows she'll be in, according to reports.

In an interview, the 18-year-old revealed the reason for the ban, saying that she wants "to be taken seriously" as a model.

"Kim was invited to a lot of the shows that I was in," the younger sister told LOVE Remix magazine. "She called me before and was like, 'Hey, I was invited to the show, I just wanted to let you know. Do you want me to come?' and I was like, 'No.'"

"I want to be high fashion. I want to be taken seriously. People think that this [success] just came to me. But it didn't. What I have has almost worked against me," the teenager added.

However she clarified that it's all about business and nothing personal with the half-sibling.

"It's just for my work. It's not as big a deal as people are making it out to be," she explained.

Meanwhile, news about the reality star pointed out that Jenner might soon join the ranks of supermodels Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Dannii Minogue as the new face of Australian skincare brand ModelCo.

"[Founder] Shelley Barrett is always on the lookout for the next hot thing ... and she thinks Kendall is it," a statement by the cosmetic brand's representative read.

The source further said that, in fact, the deal is already in the works.

"We are in discussions with Kendall's people and we are in the process of reaching an agreement for her to start in 2015," the rep revealed.

Kim Kardashian's half-sister was last seen walking down the catwalk at the recent New York Fashion Week for Marc Jacobs, Diane Von Furstenberg, and Tommy Hilfiger.
