Keri Hilson Talks Rededicating Her Life To Jesus Christ Leading To Love

Keri Hilson, the 30-year-old singer-songwriter, recently revealed that she has rededicated her life to Jesus Christ.

Hilson recently admitted that she has been getting compliments from others who have noticed that her appearance seems to be glowing. The singer credited her romantic union with Oklahoma City Thunder power forward Serge Ibaka along with a strengthened relationship with Jesus Christ.

"That's the word that I hear most often, for the past six months of my life, that I'm glowing. I don't know what's changed," Hilson said in a recent Global Grind report. "I've been in a relationship for a year, I rededicated my life to Christ in April 2012, I came out of a really dark depression."

Last March, Hilson admitted that the criticism that she received for being a celebrity wasn't easy.

"It's TOO much!! Please! Is everything I tweet gonna be 'intentionally misinterpreted' as a statement about someone/drama I know nothing about," the singer previously questioned on Twitter. "You have no idea what your hateful words could do to someone's spirit. Years of verbal abuse from strangers all day long. Enough is enough!"

While Hilson said she has kept up appearances of being happy for years, she admitted that was not always the case.

"I am happy and I'm glad people can see when you are genuinely happy," she told Global Grind. "For years I was smiling for pictures and I'm doing the same, but I think people can tell the difference. That's just been a testament to the fact that people can really see your aura."

Although Hilson revealed that her relationship with Ibaka has positively impacted her life, she said that it came only after she decided to submit to Jesus Christ.

"I actually met him (Serge) maybe six months after I rededicated my life to Christ," Hilson revealed to Global Grind.

Still, she did not hesitate to admit that Ibaka was a gift from God.

"..I also felt like God is a comedian, for real. He gave me everything I wanted and everything I thought I didn't want," she told Global Grind. "He's like, 'Ha! You've got to trust me. Stop putting limits on who I am and what I do.'"
However the singer admitted that once she stopped putting limits on what God could give her, true love came into her life.

"I had a huge blockage on the types of guys I would date and just when I was – I had tweeted something, 'I guess it's time for me to adjust the parameters of dating,' or something like that," she recalled. "..And it was months before meeting him actually, but it was just saying that sometimes you have to trust God and stop putting rules and limits and parameters on things. The moment I accepted that, was the moment he came my way."
