Kerri Walsh Jennings' Baby Girl Arrives

Kerri Walsh Jennings and her husband Casey have welcomed their third child, a baby girl, on Saturday.

The Olympic volleyball player realized she was pregnant with baby Scout Margery Jennings right after winning a gold medal at the London Olympic Games last summer. She was five weeks pregnant during the Games.

"She's here! She's here! She's here," the ecstatic mother posted to Facebook shortly after Scout's arrival on Saturday. "Our precious baby girl is finally here! Scout Margery Jennings is as beautiful as can be. She came in like lightening and is all ready a beautiful rainbow so pink & lovely & healthy!"

Furthermore, Jennings expressed her gratitude for fans.

"Thank you all so very much, with all my heart, for your love, support & prayers," the 34-year-old posted. "I can't tell you how much it means to me & how very much it helped. Wishing you all a wonderful, blessed day as this day certainly is for us."

Scout joined older brothers Joey, 3, and 2-year-old Sundance.

Jennings and her husband revealed that they were having a baby girl while on the "Today" show on Christmas Eve.

It is a family tradition to reveal the gender of their children on Christmas Eve for Walsh Jennings and her husband. The special reveal style started three years ago ahead of the birth of their first child Joey. The family's doctor wrote the gender on a Christmas ornament and Kerri and Carey then unwrapped the ornament together on the day before Christmas that year.

"It feels a little cheesy if I overthink it, but I'm just not going to overthink it," Kerri noted of the Christmas Eve tradition. "I feel like people are along for the ride with us. We've gotten to many words of encouragement … I welcome all the love and prayers I can get!"

When it comes to the unusual names for her children, Jennings explained why she had kept Scout's name a secret until her arrival.

"We heard plenty about [the name] Sundance," she explained to the "Today" show of her son's name. "This time, we're just going to minimize the stress."
