'Kill Bill' Vol. 3 Release Date, Rumors: Longer Anime Sequence; Movie to Come Out 'Within the Next Year,' Says Tarantino

Latest developments about "Kill Bill" vol. 3 indicate that it is to be titled "Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair." This suggests that it would simply be a combination of the first two films – not a sequel but rather a full version. This has been given light by director Quentin Tarantino himself during a Dynamite Entertainment panel, where he was asked about the status of the upcoming Kill Bill movie.

"What's going on with that is originally back when Kill Bill was going to be one movie, I wrote an even longer anime sequence," the "Pulp Fiction" director stated. "So you see in the movie [O-Ren] kill her boss but then there was that long hair guy… The big sequence was her fighting that guy. I.G. [The Japanese Anime Studio] who did Ghost in the Shell said we can't do that and finish it in time for your thing. And [plus] you can't have a thirty-minute piece in your movie. I said – 'ok.'"

"It was my favorite part but it was the part you could drop. So we dropped it and then later when I.G. heard we were talking about doing Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair — they still had the script so without even being commissioned, they just did it and paid for it themselves," he continued.

"It's really terrific. Anyway – The Weinstein Company and myself were talking about actually coming out with it sometime, not before the year is out, but within the next year with limited theatrical engagement as well," Tarantino concluded.

More than a decade ago, the highly-acclaimed director Quentin Tarantino released "Kill Bill" vol. 1 and 2 starring Uma Thurman as The Bride. With its success, a lot of moviegoers wanted to know if will they be able to see more of the story, which is quite intriguing as it wasn't wholly revealed.

The 51-year-old filmmaker indeed has some plans in making a sequel. In 2004, he told Entertainment Weekly that he already got the "whole mythology" running in his mind which would involve Vernita Green's daughter Nikki Bell seeking revenge on the Bride.

On 2009, the "Inglorious Basterds" writer and director further confirmed the rumored sequel at the Morelia International Film Festival.

"Yes, the Bride will fight again," Tarantino said.

Quentin Tarantino is also currently working on "The Hateful Eight," which is slated to arrive in 2015 and is rumored to star "Hunger Games" actress Jennifer Lawrence.
