Kim Kardashian Divorce: Star Says She Wouldn't Break Humphries' 'Trust'

Kim Kardashian conducted an interview one week before filing for divorce from Kris Humphries, where she spoke about the importance of trust in their relationship.

"I'm not worried about him at all," Kardashian said in the Marie Claire interview. "We have a lot of trust, and I don't think either of us would do anything to break that. It makes life so easy. He's such a good guy; he is so down-to-earth, and it's such a reality check."

The reality television star also revealed why she showcased and promoted an elaborate wedding on television.

"I felt like if I didn't show the wedding, it would be upsetting for people who have taken this journey with me," Kardashian said.

Despite her attempts to avoid upsetting her public, many have expressed disappointment in Kardashian divorcing Humphries after 72 days of marriage. One person took to Twitter to express outrage about the reality television star receiving the Marie Claire cover.

"Putting Kim Kardashian on the cover is a good way of letting people know your magazine is for idiots,” the person tweeted. “Am I right?”

However, Kardashian defended her contradictory statements after announcing her divorce.

"I felt like I was on a fast roller coaster and I couldn't get off when now I know I probably should have,” Kardashian wrote on her blog. “I got caught up with the hoopla and the filming of the TV show that when I probably should have ended my relationship, I didn't know how to and didn't want to disappoint a lot of people."

Although the singer has recently been laying low from the media, including her brother’s “Dancing with the Stars” competition, she is currently concentrating on filming Tyler Perry’s “The Marriage Counselor.”
