Kanye West is rumored to have proposed to Kim Kardashian one day after the reality TV star gave birth to their first child on June 15.
The "Black Skinned" rapper, 36, reportedly asked Kardashian, 32, for her hand in marriage unexpectedly after they welcomed the birth of their baby girl, North West. In June the reality TV star's marriage to NBA star Kris Humphries was finalized, making her free to potentially walk down the aisle for a third time, according to OK! magazine.
"Kim and Kanye were talking to the baby when in mid-sentence, Kanye suddenly asked Kim to marry him," an alleged Kardashian family source told OK! magazine.
"Kanye has a billion dollars – he could have sky-written it across LA., but his sincere approach was one of the most tender and touching moments Kim's had with him," the source explained.
The couple, who has been dating for over one year, is now said to be planning a wedding in Paris to take place in September, according to The Sun U.K. However these reports have not yet been confirmed.
In October, public relations executive Jonathan Cheban, who helped make Kardashian one of the biggest reality TV stars in the world, confirmed that the new mom would likely get engaged to West after her ongoing divorce from Humphries was finalized.
"It would be great [if Kim and Kanye get married]! She needs to get divorced first, though. When [Kris Humphries] is done playing games, I guess she'll get engaged," Cheban previously told Life & Style magazine at Gabrielle's Angel Foundation 2012 Angel Ball.
Kardashian infamously filed for divorce from Humphries, 28, after just 72 days of marriage on Oct. 31, 2011. Despite the backlash she received over her filing, her mother Kris Jenner is said to be thrilled about the prospect of her daughter having a third marriage.
"Kris Jenner is ecstatic that Kim is dating Kanye; she can see their celebrity stock and wealth rising by the day! She has already told Kim that if they make it down the aisle they are going to do it on camera again," a source close to the Kardashian family reportedly told RadarOnline.com.
"You would think most moms would be keen for their daughter to take it slow," the source added.
