Kim Kardashian Wedding News: Kanye West Asks Mary J. Blige to Sing 'Favorite Song'

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are gearing up to tie the knot in France in coming months and a new report claims Mary J. Blige may perform on their big day.

The Hollywood power couple will reportedly wed in a televised ceremony in Paris on May 24 and a number of A-listers such as Beyonce and Jay Z are expected to attend. West, 36, is reportedly a fan of Blige's 1997 song "Everything" and he is hoping the Grammy award-winning singer, 43, will agree to perform it on his and Kardashian's wedding day.

"One of his favorite songs by her is 'Everything.' That song sums up, in every verse, his love for Kim. He wants that song to be sang at his wedding so he's talking to Mary," a source told HollywoodLife.com.

"Kim would drop dead if that happens," the source continued. "She too loves Mary and Kanye played that song for her when they first met over and over and over and over. Only fitting that he would have Mary officially sing it at the wedding."

The lavish affair is being tipped as the wedding of the year by some reality TV fans. Insiders claim an E! camera crew will be present to capture every moment of the wedding, much like during Kardashian's 2011 wedding to NBA star Kris Humphries.

"They have filmed some things already to be on the upcoming special and will film stuff afterwards as well. But the Kim and Kanye special will be a stand-alone show on E!" a source told HollywoodLife.com.

"E! plans on airing Kim and Kanye's wedding as a two-part special," another source revealed. "The event is way too important to only broadcast on Keeping Up with the Kardashians."

Also rumored to be on the guest list is the famous Smith family, including Will, Jada, Jaden and Willow. Kardashian's mother Kris Jenner will determine who sits where.

"It will be star-studded but nobody's giving out specifics," the insider said. "Kris is in charge of the seating arrangements and the guest list."

The lavish wedding will mark Kardashian's third marriage and West's first. The "Yeezus" rapper proposed to the reality TV star in October after less than one year of dating.

"Kim will be wearing white although its her third wedding. She's getting her dress custom made [and] she will have one dress change ... that dress will not be white," TV personality Chloe Melas said on VH1's "The Gossip Table."

"Baby North is going to be the flower girl. Even though she wont be walking at that point I guess they're going to carry her down the aisle," she revealed.
