Kim Kardashian's "Kate Middleton invite" for the two to meet up when she is next in London has reportedly been politely declined by the Duchess of Cambridge.

Kim has reportedly let it be well known her respect and obsession with the future Queen of England, and she recently mentioned that she would love to meet and spend time with Kate Middleton when she and her sisters are in London for their upcoming Dorothy Perkins line promotions.

However, according to the National Enquirer Kate Middleton politely laughed when informed about the invitation.

According to the magazine's "Royal insider" Middleton and the Royal family are extremely careful not to be seen as endorsing any products. They are often sent free designer clothes but always send them back so that they will not be misunderstood as endorsing anyone.

The insider claimed, "The Duchess gets free clothes sent to her every day of the week, and she always sends them back. The royal family is very careful about not being seen to endorse any product. It's just not proper. Quite apart from that, the Kardashian outfits just aren't appropriate for a duchess."

The insider added, "Kate is hardly going to turn up for an event with the queen in a cheap leopard-print miniskirt or gold sequined jacket!"

Kate Middleton did not actually say anything when informed of the invitation, according to the source, and has not publicly said anything about the Kardashians, so the rumors of her laugh remain unconfirmed.

Kardashian has seemingly been inspired by Middleton's taste and style over the past year. In June Kardashian wore a similar red McQueen dress that Middleton had previously worn.
