'Kingdom Hearts 3' Rumored to be Delayed to 2017

It has been a long wait for the fans of the crossover action role-playing video game "Kingdom Hearts 3." Unfortunately, their waiting will have to be extended further as reports say that there is a possibility that the game will not come anytime soon this 2016. In an article by News Everyday, it stated that there is no release date for the game until now.

Creator Tetsuya Nomura and developer Square Enix have not made any announcements either on a possible time frame but there are rumors saying that the game is delayed to 2017. According to Ecumenical News, the information is based on the fact that voice actor Quinton Flynn divulged through his Twitter account that he has not been contacted yet about the game.

Flynn, who gives voice to the character Axel, revealed this fact while answering queries posed to him on a Twitter Q&A session. "Speaking of Axel, when is the new Kingdom Hearts going into production? Step it up. Quinton needs to pay his bills," he said according to his own Twitter account. But while Flynn has not been tapped yet for the role, reports say that Jim Cummings, the voice behind the characters Winnie the Pooh and Tigger, has been contacted already.

On the other hand, there are reports also saying that the cause of delay for the game is of a different reason. Breathecast wrote that Square Enix may just be very busy making some completions on the upcoming "Final Fantasy XV" that they are shoving the "Kingdom Hearts 3" aside for a while just until they get the promoting and finalizing done. The upcoming "Final Fantasy" game is set already for a Sept. 30 release and the company may not want to confuse fans and divide the attention of the gamers.

So for those who are looking forward for "Kingdom Hearts 3," they may need to extend their patience and stay tune for updates. None is confirmed anyway so it's best to take reports with a pinch of salt.
