Kristen Stewart Birthday: 'Twilight' Actress Turns 22 (VIDEO)

"Twilight" saga star Kristen Stewart will celebrate her 22nd birthday on Monday, although it appears that she will be keeping her birthday plans under wraps.

While little news has been released as to how Stewart, who plays Bella in the "Twilight" series, will celebrate her birthday it is certain that the star has plans in the works.

News surrounding Stewart has been bubbling as early as last week, when she was announced to be the cover girl for Elle's next U.K. edition. While the magazine has a tradition of keeping their cover star under wraps. Stewart's large fan base pushed the publication to break tradition and embrace the fans.

Although Stewart's claim to fame is largely due to her role in "Twilight," which began as a popular book series, it was a natural step following her parents' careers; both of Stewart's parents, John and Jules, are also part of the entertainment industry. In addition to "Twilight" Stewart has also appeared in "Panic Room," "In the Land of Women," and "Adventureland" among others.

In 2012 Stewart will appear in the last part of the acclaimed book series "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2." She is also set to appear in "Snow White & the Huntsman" and "On the Road."

While currently a successful actress, the "Twilight" star also has hopes of achieving a college degree in literature with hopes of becoming a writer.

"I want to go to college for literature. I want to be a writer. I mean, I love what I do, but it's not all I want to do – be a professional liar for the rest of my life," Stewart told Vanity Fair magazine in 2009.

Unfortunately for fans however, Stewart won't likely be giving any information about her birthday plans with or without co-star Robert Pattinson. The star has admitted that she could be quite selfish about her privacy in a recent interview with GQ.

"I'm selfish. I'm like, 'That's mine!' And I like to keep whatever is mine remaining that way. It's a funny little game to play and it's a slippery slope. I always say to myself I'm never going to give anything away because there's never any point or benefit for me," Stewart remarked.
