Kristen Stewart Debuts Short Hair; New Look Signifies Change, Releasing Ex Robert Pattinson? (VIDEO)

Kristen Stewart shocked fans on Tuesday when she revealed a new haircut in Paris and a new report claims to have uncovered the reason behind the new look.

The "Clouds of Sils Maria" actress, 24, debuted a much shorter hairdo at Paris Fashion Week yesterday, much to the delight of fans and she oozed confidence and appeared happy while posing for photos. The feathered look was parted to one side and it revealed her orange wavy locks with brown regrowth.

The actress reportedly decided to cut her shoulder-length orange hair and adopt a retro-inspired blunt hairstyle in a bid for a fresh start in life more than one year after her split from Robert Pattinson.

"Kristen wanted a change, she wanted to change things up. It was completely her decision to cut her hair," a source told HollywoodLife.com.

"She's done with the past and wants to be known for her work instead of any of the scandals that happened in the past," the insider explained.

Last month reports revealed that the "Twilight" actress will not return as "Snow White" in a "Snow White and the Huntsman" sequel. In 2012, she made headlines following her widely publicized affair with the film's director Rupert Sanders, who is also not returning for work in the film, and the scandal continues to haunt her career.

The Hollywood actress issued a public apology after her affair was uncovered, but her relationship with Pattinson, 28, did not survive the scandal and it ultimately came to an end in May 2013. Despite the emotional challenges that ensued after the affair scandal, Stewart is moving forward with her life and the new haircut reportedly signifies a fresh start and new beginnings.

"She feels really positive about herself and is just excited about her new freedom — letting go of regrets, stuff that holds you back. She's moved on," the source revealed.

"Kristen is so over the whole Robsten thing. Cutting her hair was like purging that whole image," the source added.

Stewart is not the only one moving on from the past as Pattinson recently told "Entertainment Tonight" that he is "excited" to be single again.

The British actor was reportedly photographed at the 1Oak Fourth of July party at Nobu Malibu last week where onlookers claim was spotted letting loose and mingling with fellow party goers.

"Rob was with Ryan Rottman and friends. He was with multiple girls at the party having a blast," an insider said.

"He stayed through the performances and was mingling with a lot of guests and meeting a lot of different people,"the source said. "Rob was drinking vodka and having a great time!"
