On Tuesday's episode, Handler asked Chenoweth: "What does 'GCB' stand for? Because it's confusing for that to be on ABC."

Then the host jibed, "It's like, how many letters do I have to remember?"

Chenoweth clarified the meaning of "GCB," citing the aforementioned book. The actress added that ABC "liked the roll of the tongue" with using the acronym.

It is widely believed that the book title what shortened to "GCB" by ABC to eliminate the use of the expletive.

Also speaking to E! News about the upcoming drama, Chenoweth described the show as "human."

"It's about five women who grew up together in the Bible Belt and how they deal with each other and their demons," said the 43-year-old actress. "l love it because it shows faith in a very human way."

"GCB" has been compared to ABC's outgoing series, “Desperate Housewives,” in that the female-focused dramas are both laced with humor.

Robert Harling, producer of ABC's new series, admitted the title of the show was a source of controversy.

"The use of the title raised a lot of eyebrows," said the producer, according to USA Today. "When I started working on it, I sort of put it aside."

"GCB" premieres Sunday, March 4 at 10 p.m. EST.
