Lady Gaga Health News: Singer Postpones European Concert Tour Due to Chronic Pain

Shortly after singer Lady Gaga opened up about her struggles with having fibromyalgia, she was forced to postpone the entire European leg of her "Joanne World Tour" as she continued to struggle with chronic pain.

Just last week, the singer – whose real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta – openly talked to the press about her struggle with chronic pain. The subject was also a large part of her Netflix documentary "Gaga: Five Foot Two, " which premiered on Friday, Sept. 22.

Lady Gaga's concert producer Live Nation provided a statement announcing that the artist will have to skip the entire European leg of her world tour, which are now labeled with the word "rescheduling" in the singer's official website.

"Joanne World Tour's" European leg would have started Thursday, Sept. 21, in Barcelona, Spain, and ended at Koln, Germany, on Oct. 28. Lady Gaga was also supposed to perform in other European stops such as Zurich, Milan, Hamburg, Antwerp, and Amsterdam, Paris, London, Birmingham, Manchester, Copenhagen, Stockholm and Berlin.

Live Nation also said in the release: "Lady Gaga is suffering from severe physical pain that has impacted her ability to perform. She remains under the care of expert medical professionals who recommended the postponement earlier today. Lady Gaga is devastated that she has to wait to perform for her European fans."

The producer also stated that Lady Gaga decided she needed to "proactively" work with her medical team so her body can "heal from this and past traumas that still affect her daily life."

Lady Gaga fans across Europe were highly encouraged to keep their tickets as they await rescheduling announcements.

Meanwhile, there will be no changes in "Joanne World Tour's" North American leg that starts on Nov. 5 in Indianapolis and ends on Dec. 18 in Inglewood, California.

The "Million Reasons" singer also addressed her fans through social media and shared a photo of her praying with the rosary and a screenshot of Live Nation's press release. The post was captioned with a lengthy message for her fans and said: "I am looking forward to touring again soon, but I have to be with my doctors right now so I can be strong and perform for you all for the next 60 years or more. I love you so much."
