Lala Anthony, the 33-year-old television personality, recently detailed some issues that she had in her marriage and how she managed to overcome them.
Anthony recently revealed the details of her relationship with her NBA player husband Carmelo Anthony. She admitted that moving to New York with her family for her husband's career a few years ago changed the dynamic in their relationship.
"I think a lot of the changes also happened when he got traded to New York. Now, you're in New York City. It's a huge city," Mrs. Anthony told Access Hollywood recently. "Everybody wants him. He's getting pulled in a million directions."
Still, she denied that the two ever separated, despite headlines claiming that they did.
"I've been with him for 10 years. He's my best friend and we get through the hard times because we know that we want this marriage to work and we want to be together," she told Access Hollywood. "We didn't separate. That was definitely a rumor. We stayed together. We worked through it."
The actress and media personality was candid about some of the issues that she faces in her marriage.
"The downs are having two intense careers and remembering to put the marriage first and remembering to work as hard in the marriage as we do in our careers and being parents and everything else. He's traveling all over the world being a basketball player," she admitted to Access Hollywood. "I'm working between New York and L.A. So, it gets difficult sometimes when you're trying to juggle that and be married."
Mrs. Anthony appeared on the faith-based radio show "Faith Family Live" that broadcasts on the WVOX 1190 AM station to reveal how she balances her reality television show, makeup line and family while in the spotlight.
"I've been so blessed in my life to have so many things I'm not going to complain about working and having all this stuff going on, I'm just going to figure out a way to prioritize things and make things happen," Mrs. Anthony said. "But most importantly, what I've found through the years is that as long as I'm aligned with God and my family everything else will fall into place the way it's supposed to. So I focus my energy on those two things first and everything else falls in place."
