Lamar Odom, Khloe Kardashian to Reconcile in 2014? NBA Star Says 'Time Will Tell'

Lamar Odom opened up his ongoing divorce from Khloe Kardashian, two months after the reality star filed to legally end their marriage.

The NBA star, 34, has kept a low profile since Kardashian, 29, filed divorce papers and in a recent interview he alluded to there being a possibility for reconciliation. The couple wed in 2009 exactly one month after meeting, but in August of 2013 they separated in the wake of cheating allegations.

"I love my wife. She'll always be my wife, no matter what," Odom told Us magazine.

"Who knows? We don't know exactly," he said regarding whether the divorce will be finalized. "Only time will tell. I hope not. But even if we were divorced, she would always be my wife."

Odom, who previously played for the Los Angeles Clippers, recently signed on to play with Spanish basketball team Laboral Kutxa.

In July the father of two was accused of having extramarital affairs with at least two women and within weeks there were reports of drug abuse and a DUI arrest on his part. Kardashian was understandably heartbroken over the breakdown of her marriage and Odom has since acknowledged his "regrets."

"We all have regrets, but the thing is to learn from life," he said. "There is no one in this room, no one in this world, who can say, 'I'm mistake-free, I've made no mistakes.'"

In January Kardashian reportedly purchased a new home around the same time that she allegedly sold her and Odom's Tarzana, California mansion for $5.5 million. The estranged couple purchased their 7-bedroom, 9-bathroom house for $3.9 million in 2009, just two months after they wed in a lavish ceremony.

"Khloe already bought a new home. Her mom is right up the street!" an insider said.

While Odom has expressed his desire to reconcile with his estranged wife, she appears to be focused on moving forward and putting the failed marriage behind her.

"I love the new year, new beginnings. I need a good fresh start; I'm excited for this year to be over with," Kardashian told Cosmopolitan UK in December.

"You only live once so let's make that one time perfect. We can't fix our mistakes and imperfections, so let's have fun. You get what you give out in life," she explained.
