'Law & Order: SVU' Season 18 Episode 14: Olivia Deals With a Victim Who May Not Testify

The upcoming episode of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" season 18 will see Missy Peregrym and Tate Donovan guest starring as an investment banker and a billionaire, respectively.

The summary of the next episode, titled "Net Worth," states that Peregrym's character, an investment banker who deals with top-level clients, will allege that she was raped by one of them, who is none other than Donovan's character.

A teaser trailer for the new episode has also been released online. It starts out with Donovan's billionaire character being accused of rape. "I saw you on top of that girl. I heard her yell 'stop,'" a man tells him.

However, Peregrym's character does not seem to want to testify against the billionaire because his offer may be too good to refuse. She is seen talking to Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay), informing her that her client is ready to cough up $5 million to keep her quiet.

Detective Fin Tutuola (Ice-T) thinks she should testify, though, based on the clip. "We have another victim and I think she deserves justice," he says.

Meanwhile, here is a recap of the previous episode, titled "Genes."

Olivia found herself reliving the past when she was presented with another rape victim, Jessica. The perpetrator, Nick, admitted to his crime but defended himself by saying that being a rapist was in his genes. In order to avoid a longer sentence, he was willing to give the SVU a hand to take down a serial rapist named Sam Dalton. And while the case initially seemed like it was going nowhere, a crucial testimony ultimately put Sam in his place.

The whole rape gene debacle struck a chord with Olivia, whose father was a rapist. Noah's father was also a rapist, thus making her worry about Noah's future. However, she knew that the rape gene defense was complete nonsense and made peace with it by the end of the episode.

"Law & Order: SVU" season 18 airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. EDT on NBC.
