LeAnn Rimes Open to Using Surrogate for Eddie Cibrian Baby

LeAnn Rimes recently opened up about starting her own family with Eddie Cibrian and the troubled singer revealed that she is open to surrogacy and adoption.

The 30-year-old country music singer is already a step-mother to Cibrian and reality TV star Brandi Glanville's sons, Mason, 9, and Jake, 6. However, the couple has spoken about having their own children.

"We have a lot on our plates," Rimes told People magazine about her stepsons. "But whenever I talk about kids, I'm like, 'Let's have one!' I have a lot of work to do now but I'm totally ready if it happens."

Rimes revealed that her parents struggled for over a decade to conceive her. The "Borrowed" singer admitted that if she too were to ever experience fertility struggles, she would be open to using a surrogate or turning to other options.

"It took my mom 12 years to have me. I hope I don't have that [issue] but if I do, then a surrogate is something I've thought about," Rimes said.

"Eddie and I have also talked about adopting. My capacity to love a child doesn't stop at my own eggs, obviously!" she continued.

Rimes has been embroiled in an ongoing feud with Glanville, 40, over her affair with Cibrian, 42. The troubled singer admittedly had an extramarital affair with the actor in 2009 while he was still married to the best-selling author.

"I felt like my life was falling apart," Rimes said about her publicized affair. "But now I feel settled. I'm proud of our great family. Eddie is an amazing father and I love my stepsons."

For years Rimes has received widespread backlash over the affair and she admits that she still seeks forgiveness for her indiscretions.

"I've definitely asked for forgiveness … on a daily basis," Rimes told ET Online.

"We are human beings who are going to sin and make mistakes and if you have that connection, for me, is something that I feel is bigger than me, it's not something that's unusual to do," she continued.
