LeAnn Rimes Seeks Forgiveness 'Daily' for Eddie Cibrian Affair (VIDEO)

LeAnn Rimes recently sat down for candid interview in which she discussed her affair with Eddie Cibrian.

The troubled singer, 30, is currently promoting her eleventh studio album Spitfire, which reportedly gives listeners an intimate look inside her infamous 2009 cheating scandal with Cibrian, whom she has since married. Rimes has been blasted by critics as a "homewrecker" for getting involved with a married man and she admitted that she continues to ask God for forgiveness for her wrongdoing.

"I've definitely asked for forgiveness … on a daily basis," Rimes told ET Online.

"We are human beings who are going to sin and make mistakes and if you have that connection, for me, is something that I feel is bigger than me, it's not something that's unusual to do," she continued.

In 2009, "Real Housewives" star Brandi Glanville, who was married to Cibrian at the time of his affair, was left shattered after discovering his affair with Rimes. The pair shares two sons and while Rimes is now a stepmother to them, they are unable to get along even for the children.

Rimes and Glanville, 40, have previously given conflicting accounts of how the cheating scandal unfolded and the country singer claims she is able to clear up any misconceptions through the new album.

"People have had the lies to twist for so long, they can have the truth to twist now," Rimes said, adding that "there was something very freeing about" sharing her perspective.

In January Rimes was reportedly left shaken after excerpts from Glanville's Best Selling book "Drinking and Tweeting: And Other Brandi Blunders" were released ahead of its February due date.

In the book, Glanville opened up about witnessing Rimes attempt to seduce Cibrian shortly before news of their affair came to light. She also revealed intimate details about life inside of her marriage to Cibrian and made shocking revelations about Rimes.

"I feel like so many people have written the story that they think will sell a magazine, or the story that they want to believe but it's so 180 of what has been written," Rimes said.
