LG G3 vs Xperia Z3 Review, Comparison of Specs, Features: Which Smartphone is Better?

The LG G3 was released June earlier this year and is quickly gaining age compared to newer smartphones like Sony's Xperia Z3. However, the G3 is still regarded as one of the better phones out there in the market since coming out with the first QHD display. The Xperia Z3 on the other hand is an iteration of Sony's highly acclaimed Xperia Z2. So how does each phone fare against each other?

First, a run-down of specs. The LG G3 has a 5.5-inch screen with a display resolution of 2560 x 1440 (QHD) pixels, the first of its kind in the smartphone market. Inside, it sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset with a quad-core 2.5GHz processor and an Adreno 330 GPU.

Two variants of the phone can be chosen, one with 16GB of internal storage and 2GB of RAM while the other one with 32GB of internal storage and 3GB of RAM. Both variants support microSD cards of up to 128GB. It also sports a 13-megapixel rear facing camera and a 2.1-megapixel front facing camera.

The Xperia Z3 on the other hand has a 5.2-inch screen with a display resolution of 1920 x 1080 (Full HD) pixels. The Z3 sports the same hardware as the G3, as well as the same internal storage options. Both the 16GB and 32GB storage options of the Z3 though has 3GB of RAM (with the same microSD card support of up to 128GB).

The Z3's rear facing camera is more powerfu,l however, at 20-megapixels.

The G3 retails at 360 euros while the Z3 is priced at 500 euros. Considering that they sport the same hardware, going for the G3 might be a better option. However, for those who would want to constantly take pictures with their smartphones, the Z3 is a much better option.
