LG will finally be launching its new line of 3-D televisions that incorporate Google TV into them this month.

"It is no secret that the first launch of the Google TV platform was a bit of a bust, but that is not stopping the folks in Mountain View from giving it another shot," wrote 9to5 Google, referring to the company's plans for releasing the TVs.

The company unveiled the TVs at this year's Consumer Electronics Show and it will ship two models: a 47-inch version priced at $1,699, and a 55-inch model priced at $2,299.

The 3-D TVs will arrive in stores somewhere at the end of May.

Both TVs will include a 1.2GHz dual-core Marvel chip that will have the ability to play 3-D content such as movies, video games and television shows.

Customers purchasing the TV will also be able to enjoy the Google TV OS that is featured on it.

Google TV allows users to access the Google Play store directly from their television where they can purchase applications.

They will also be able to watch videos on YouTube, surf the Web through a built-in Internet browser and access other streaming services such as Hulu Plus and Netflix.

Sony, Samsung and Vizio are all expected to roll out similar TVs in the latter part of 2012.

LG will most likely offer its new cloud service that it launched this week on the TV.

Customers looking to access the new LG Cloud App on an LG TV can do so through the LG SmartWorld App store.

The company has declared that it will deliver a cloud service superior to what is already out there.

"The challenge is how LG will differentiate its cloud offering from everyone else working aggressively in this space, whether it is Samsung's Allshare, Apple with iCloud or other third party cloud providers," said Ben Wood, director of research at CCS insight to PC World.
